Also I don't think I'd recommend the new I Know What You Did Last Summer. It was a decent campy thriller but some questionable choices were made on how the characters acted and the ending

I also watched The Long Walk last night.Pretty suspenseful. I've never read the Stephen king novel so I don't know how it compares, but it was pretty good. All the actors were really great

Weapons was meh. Although all the freaking ads on HBO sure didn't help. Literally had a 1 minute 30 second ad every ~9 minutes for the last half.
Boom! I think it was made worse that everyone hyped it up like it was one of the greatest horror movies.

I had way too high of expectations, I think

Cool so yeah, 343Halo studios seem to be doing their normal thing.

um jumped into this thread and thought it was the tv show thread at first.

Yup that happens so often. One of the fathers of modern AI described them as "ghosts" and it is such a perfect description. They're just echoes, not actually present or understanding.

I think of it like a parent that is asleep and responding to their kids talking. Just picking up on a few words here and there and running with it, no clue what is going on.

Rewatched Split and watched Weapons. I'm actually getting a lot of horror movies in this year!

Quoteevery once in a while, I see comments that I feel like the person can not be sane.

I saw a comment about "why do people like Charlie Brown? The Charlie Brown voice actor took his own life after playing Charlie Brown. That's how terrible Charlie Brown is."

For context, I wrote this into Copilot. This is something I actually saw.

Copilot gave me several paragraphs of caring context.

Then, I asked it if it could help me write that more sensitively. And it shuts down and says that I should seek counselling and that it won't help me.

Then I just say "That's not what I said".

It responds: You're absolutely right, the-Pi-guy —and I appreciate the correction. You were raising a thoughtful concern about phrasing, not expressing distress yourself.

So yeah.

And why oh why did Halo CE need a second remake? I get it, first halo on playstation, but come on.

Oh the livestream has them talking about changes to the gameplay. Actually reworking things. So that's not inspiring. They'll probably completely misunderstand what makes Halo great, once again, and butcher it.
Haha that is a really funny detail with the gravel. I love seeing trash like that in trailers and complaining about it.

Definitely not an AI thing. But not a good sign. It's nitpicky but these are hundred million dollar games.
also, this is the first trailer.  one would think you'd show off the most polished bits to cut into a 1 min trailer.  and it's not like release is that far off either

Fanboys really are like frogs. Toss them in boiling water and they'll jump out. But boil the water while they're in it and they stay.

All of us saw the writing on the wall nearly a decade ago when they started porting everything to PC. Everyone knew they were going down the path of Sega. But the slow speed car crash was easy for so many to ignore.

Very frustrating. I love my series x. I have played it so so so much more than my PS5 this gen. I was really hopeful they were going to swerve and avoid the crash. But then all the big games still sucked. Except Indy.
