Title: Vizioneck Halloween Gaming Thread

Post your favourite Halloween title.  I myself am going to play Medievil (PSX), Infamous: Festival of Blood, Lolipop Chainsaw and "maybe" Resident Evil: Revelations.

What are you playing for Halloween?

Puppeteer!

Nice, does it have a Halloween vibe?  Also has anyone else played Jersey Devil?  I remember playing a demo of it back in the day.  Had a Halloween vibe to it.

@BasilZero no Darksiders 2 here... woman >:(

Well get on that woman ;o.  Start with Infamous: Festival of Blood.  The entire town is literally having a halloween party.  Plus all dem vampires.  I say the game ranks up there with Medievil in Halloween theme.

Finished TWD Season 1 like almost 2 weeks ago and half-life 1 last week.

Darksiders 2 for me this month ;)

Also been playing Killing Floor and playing/recording a playthrough of Left 4 Dead 2.

Other than that the only other thing I am doing Halloween wise not gaming though is watching The Walking Dead and watching AVGN's Cinemassacre Monster Madness 2014 series.

So after two years of trying to finish Festival of Blood and getting stuck, I'm finally closer to finishing it XD.  I had to search for these glyphs that the head vampire left around.  I always just found the first but couldn't find the others.  I finally got enough to move on.

Started House of the Dead: Overkill.  Good ol' grindhouse.  Funny cause I watched Machete Kills Again with my dad last night and this game is the zombie version of that.  Except with guns.

Just Professional. Well it's usually pretty close but I sometimes make a mistake so they win 1-0. Messi is way more useful in Semi-Pro than in Professional because he can get some space to work his magic there.

Indeed. But I can win them though. I haven't bought a FIFA since FIFA 12 I think but I always play the demos quite a bit. Also, I never play online and rarely against real-life competition (my friends don't play...or my family members - weird, I know)

D: I missed this post!  Next year.

I finished Medievil finally.  I know I beat it like 15 times, but I haven't been able to time it right to finish it for Halloween these past 3/4 years.  Finished up Festival of Blood as well.  I wanna send an e-mail to Sucker Punch letting them know how much I loved the game.  Though it'd probably go to some P.R. man response.  Though if anyone wants to tweet Shuhei for me letting him know how awesome the game is and that we need a sequel for me, that would be awesome.

Next year I think I'm going to put in a table in the OP.  Though I'm disappointed in all of you for not even playing any of your games >:(

Okay so Illfonic appears to be the developer who made the FPS module for Star Citizen and then got jettisoned off as they took the updates internal, and it looks like the other developer is "gun." of Breach & Clear fame. I'm not entirely clear on who is doing what, but this seems to be a bizarre mishmash on top of the budgeting setup and missing information.

KS info:

What is Friday the 13th: The Game? Friday the 13th: The Game is a third-person, asymmetrical multiplayer title where one player controls Jason Voorhees while the remaining seven control camp counselors trying to survive the night. That's right...1v7 multiplayer set in the semi-open world of Camp Crystal Lake! It's a classic horror fan's dream, no shaky cam, no found footage. We want you to know we're revitalizing the golden era of slashers, and putting you at the controls of each horrific, blood-splattered moment. Friday the 13th is the definition of horror to the millions of fans around the world. A masked killer going after the young and vulnerable; it grabs our attention, it frightens us, and yet we all come back for more. Friday the 13th: The Game will give you the feeling of horror and dread that you expect from Jason Voorhees. This will be the ultimate asymmetrical horror experience unlike anything you've seen - a title we're proud to introduce that is worthy of the name 'Friday the 13th'.

Quote
What happened to Summer Camp? We were already building Slasher Vol.1: Summer Camp, and we've been creating and testing an internal prototype for some time now. You may recall that we announced Summer Camp last Fall via IGN. Soon after, Sean Cunningham personally reached out to us behind the scenes. That's when things got awesome.  Jason's watching you! Jason's watching you! Sean came to us in early 2015, but we quickly discovered these weren't the normal business conversations you would have when you try to secure a license as important as Friday the 13th. It was totally different. It was a conversation built on mutual admiration and respect for what each had created. Sean immediately noticed the passion we had for Friday the 13th, and after several incredible meetings over the next few months, we decided to upgrade our plans for Summer Camp and embrace the Friday the 13th video game license. After several incredible meetings over the next few months, Sean surprised us by offering the Friday the 13th video game license. It was literally a dream come true for a group of lifelong fans. He knew he could trust us with the most coveted horror IP ever, and we plan to make good on that promise to both him and you, the millions of loyal Friday the 13th fans around the world.

Quote
Singleplayer That really depends on where this Kickstarter campaign takes us. Summer Camp was originally conceived as a multiplayer title only, and thus was budgeted as such. It was only after taking on Friday the 13th that we really started to dream up plans to bring Jason to life in ways that everyone has wanted to experience (but no one has been able to create to date). To that end, the proposed single player portion will give you the Jason experience you've never had; direct through his eyes. We'll be offering several 'scenarios' based off classic movie scenes from the franchise as you stalk and kill each and every counselor from a first person perspective. Not to leave the counselors out, we'll be adding several counselor scenarios where you'll have to confront your fears and take on Jason directly, especially in compromising situations! We are not going for anything less than a Mature Rating on this; the franchise deserves it! These scenarios might also make their way to VR, and would bring an entirely new perspective to the slasher genre!

it's that I've somehow never played tons of franchises. MGSV GZ was my first MG game, FFXV will be my first FF game, and RE remake will be my first RE game. Silent Hills would have been my first SH game.

Resi isn't really much of a horror game. It relies mostly on cheap jump scares. Silent Hill on the other hand did horror games right. Interesting that you wanted to play Silent Hills because judging by PT it was going to be the the most messed up out of all of them.

First. Everything is just so outdated even in the remaster.

Will maybe play it some other time.

It probably doesn't get better.  I was thinking of popping it in tonight, but it won't happened.  Played the original for about the same amount of time.  It hasn't aged well...

Well it's that time of year when we start playing games that make us shame our pants

Resident Evil: Revelations the first and Costume Quest for me.

Will probably play Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles and the other one.  My Move controllers are charging as we speak.

Finished House of the Dead: Overkill last year.  That took a while.

I got to a boss.  I died.  I went to watch a video.  There was a rifle and a shotgun I never picked up.  I backtracked and got them.

No I went to watch a youtube video of someone killing the boss.  I had a hunch I was missing weapons since there was all this shotgun and rifle ammo lying around.

I put on Costume Quest cause I didn't want to play Resident Evil.  I really hate going back to a game after not playing it for a year, I don't remember what I have to do.

It'd be as surprising as Chris being married.  Still, poor boyfriend.  Jill was like, went missing, cryogenically frozen, and brainwashed.

So Hallween's early this year.  Since it's so dark, gloomy and rainy here.  I've gotten in a mood to play some Castlevania.  I think I might pick up the PS2 ones.

I'm also trying to finish up Medievil 2 (Which I got at Anime North) before the Medievil remake comes out.

kind of feel like downloaded until dawn and until dawn rush of blood.  games i really intended to play but never have.  october seems like a great month to try them out.  i'm not sure how long they take but i imagine as far as games go they are pretty quick.   i've always intended to buy little nightmares too.  maybe this is the year to do it.
This is filled with "Gouls n Ghosts" ;o (And more)

i boy,.. i really love redheads.  felicia day is dang sexy and this video was a great watch.

Yeah, I pin these threads after Thanksgiving here.  Which is next Monday.  I'm still moving along with RE2 on Dreamcast.  I still haven't even touched Claire's campaign.  I can then finally get the remake.  Still working on both Medievils.  Might try Until Dawn or something.  Got it on PS+ a while back.

so i played 1 level of until dawn rush of blood last night.

1. they took the "on-rails" shooter quite literally but putting me onto a roller coaster cart.  it's amazing how exhilarating the simply act of riding in a cart can be while in VR.
2. it's been a long time since i played a rail shooter.  not my favorite genre but i do like it.   really a great genre for VR compared to non-VR.
3. my controller tracking was god awful last night.  i had just played a couple levels of astro bot where controller tracking was also needed and worked flawlesly so i'm going to blame the game.  every time i tried to re-center the controller it centered with my aiming reticle pointed about 60 degrees to the left.
4. i don't want to judge the game too harsh based on one level but it was mostly a shooting gallery (fire at inanimate objects with targets drawn on them) and just a few "clowns".   as far as core gameplay goes it's not that good.  i did like the part where i get to control 2 guns,.. that's a cool improvement over 2D rail shooters.

i'll play at least one more level but if i don't see improvement i don't see me finishing this game.

How was the VR?
I still have to play House of the Dead 3 and 4 on Move.  Same with the two Resident Evil light gun games.

Pumpkin Jack demo was solid for the first few minutes of it that I played.  A bit linear.

I'm making my way through Medievil 2.  Holy crud!  What the hell did Cambridge do?  No wonder Sony wants nothing to do with it.  The charm is gone.  The art is bland. The camera might be one of the worst I've seen in a game.  They ruined the combat with enemy blocking (So poorly programmed). The soundtrack is fantastic though.  I want to finish it just because, but I've been tempted to drop it.

I think I'm going to boot up Bloodborne.  The closest thing to Medievil 3 that we'll get.

Near the end of Leon's campaign in RE 2.  It's honestly scarier walking through the underground lab than the entire game.  Even, what I imagine to be the last safe room has this earie music as opposed to the safe room music.

I also remembered I haven't finished RE Revelations the first yet.  I should probably finish that.

Finished Leon's campaign.  Started Claire's.  It's weird.  I switched to PSX since I heard there was issues with GDEMU and Claire's disc, starting a save with Claire from Leon's campaign and playing it stock is so different.  I might have to go back to the Dreamcast version.

This is why I only ever watch playthroughs of horror games if I'm interested in them, I just can't play them.

My friend said the game's kinda like... when someone dies, it's' their fault.  Like those slasher flicks.  Wasn't Until Dawn supposed to use the Move for flashlight?

Probably going to round out Halloween with the Medievil Remake.  After finishing Resident Evil and going to that gothic setting kinda put me at ease for Halloween.  I should probably try Pumpkin Jack before tomorrow at least though.
