Sable kinda sucks

Leaving gamepass so I had to finally try it out.

Game is glitchy and has horrible performance. I played on series x and yet half the time it was around 10 fps, just depending on camera direction. Glitch wise I got stuck inside geometry twice. I also had an NPC say the wrong dialogue during an important part.

Climbing is incredibly frustrating. Never reliable. It copies BOTW climbing 1 to 1 yet randomly doesn't work, leading to many falls.

Speaking of BOTW, it is practically a clone at times. I really wonder how the development of this game went since they obviously had a lot of original ideas too. Was the game reworked to copy BOTW? Did it start as a BOTW clone and then diverge? If it wasn't so glitchy it'd feel like a total conversion BOTW mod.

Overall the game was slow and uninteresting. The art style is great in trailers but in game I found it frustrating. At night the game became especially ugly. I called it quits a few times and even uninstalled it once.

That said, it still might be worth checking out. It has enough hints of greatness that I kept returning and completed it. With technical fixes it could be pretty good if you're wanting a chill game.
