I laughed at people back in 2017 predicting switch would outsell PS4...

Come on Nintendo, announce and release switch 2 before the holidays!

i was very unsure back then.   i figured it would either follow a wiiU or a 3DS sales cycle depending on if the market viewed it as a home console or a handheld console.

...don't give me the "it's both" BS.   it's a barely mobile handheld with a lazy TV out capability that other handhelds could support but just didn't ship in the box.    i personally think it's a "compromised" form factor for either mobile or home console and i don't like the concessions made.   clearly the market disagrees but i don't find switches sales to be entirely impressive.  DS sold over 150 million and 3DS sold over 75 million which are the consoles it should be compared to.
