Does a game's file size matter to you?

On consoles I don't really care unless it feels bloated like 100gb for a random game. On PC I'm a bit more picky and tend to only have 100gb total that I can use for games.

My internal goal is ~30gb for Hapax just because similar games are around that size, and because I believe smaller games are more accessible. The data however seems to suggest otherwise.

(2021 and 2022 games only)

So what do you care about?

File size doesn't matter, it's what you do with it that matters

I refuse to buy games under *checks notes* 500 GB.

*Checks notes* yes.

I only buy games that have full sized replicas of North Dakota in them.

Only people with small file sizes or are dating people with a small file size say this

So yeah file size matters!!!

I very much pay attention to file size when they get too big.   I'll keep lots of small games on my PS5 but am reluctant to download too many games that are over 40 Gb.  I delete them fast too.

this is especially relavent to GaaS games.  I deleted fall guys specifically because it was too big.

Well I almost accidentally made Hapax half a terabyte. It's more realistic if every thing in a game is genuinely unique, instancing be darned!
