It's a space sim. I play it in single player but it doesn't have a story. I loved my first 100 hours because I had no idea what I was getting into. Every new discovery was great.

Hard game to blindly recommend though. It has a lot of grinding and if you're not motivated to push yourself forward, you'll probably drop it pretty quickly.

Dog fighting is great. I try to avoid fights but a lot of people primarily play for the space dog fighting. Can buy bigger and better ships and customize their loadout with bigger and better guns.
