Later than I hoped though. Doesn't bode well for Ragnarok this year, or maybe it was just held back because PS5s can't stay in stock.

I think its somewhat independent of GOW2 but it is an indicator. PS5 really doesn't need GOW2 this year; R&C in June, GT7 in August/ September and then Horizon FW in October/ November would be a fantastic first full year (considering we already will have had DAS and Returnal).

I think even if it could have made late 2021, GOW2 will be delayed to something like March 2022. PS5 will be sold out all this year anyway and we're getting enough software for current PS5 owners to be happy. There's just no need for it.

well i have my deadline now.   R&C is my system seller so if i can't find a ps5 by june 11th i'm going to be very sad.

But what if we want gow?  


I think Switch shows us a frontloaded system can work out great. GOW, Horizon, Gran Turismo, and Ratchet all in the same year would do an incredible job shutting down xbox and cementing PS5 as the best place to play even if 2022 is pretty empty.

nintendo doesn't play by the same rules as the rest of the industry.   they could sell a cardboard box with their name on it...

and i want GoW.  that would be a benefit to me.   from sony's perspective however i think they benefit more by delaying it and thus i am expecting it to be delayed.

i agree with DerNebel, don't pre-order than.   the pre-order bonuses aren't much of anything so unless you are certain to play day-1 i wouldn't bother.

i really, really strongly suggest being a not-day 1 gamer.   games don't become bad because they are 6 months old but they do become $20.  xD
