Square Enix has posted a short gameplay video of Dragon Quest XI: In Search of Departed Time showing the protagonist participating in the parade of Silvia, the traveling entertainer that joins your party.


The company also announced a Dragon Quest XI launch commemoration events for Dragon Quest X in which Silvia and the Incarnation of Time Kerucchi appear.

I've never played a dragon quest and didn't think of it being a game to include parades. Guess it's more "zany" instead of serious like I thought.

DQ overall isnt that serious to begin with.

Its always been more of a comedy than the FF series which isnt bad or anything.


I've only finished DQ1 (NES), DQ2 (NES) and played DQ5 (SNES).

I've only finished DQ1 (NES), DQ2 (NES) and played DQ5 (SNES).
I found DQ's stories way way more dark than FF teenager stories.

DQ is more mature than FF.

DQ is way more serious in themes than FF... it is more mature and dark.

It is a pretty heavy franchise story wise.

DQ is way more serious in themes than FF... it is more mature and dark.

It is a pretty heavy franchise story wise.

Hmmm, from the trailers and Ads that I saw of the more recent games, they tend to be more comedic , I should play more of the series.

Gonna play DQ3 soon :)

DQ3 is awesome and where the story get more complex, emotive and depressing.
