Subnautica 2 is GaaS, oh no

Subnautica 2 will be a "multiplayer sequel" according to publisher Krafton.

The game will adept the Game-as-a-Service (GaaS) model and will be playable with up to 4 player co-op, as well as singleplayer.

Co op fits the game perfectly, but what the heck are they doing with GaaS? Guess I'm not hyped for it anymore.

I don't really buy it, but they're saying that GaaS just means Early Access equivalent continued development.
