NPD: Subscription growth has flattened (only accounting for 10% of video game content spending)

Subscription growth has flattened, and sub services on console and PC platforms accounts for only 10% of total video game content spending in the US.

I get that some people want to protect their preferred model, but the idea that subs will become dominant is unsupported by data.

I'm as core gamer as they come and even i wonder if the sub is worth it. Soo many games,.. that aren't the ones i really want to play.    I played a lot of games via subs last year and this year am resolving to ignore them more.   If a games i really want to play comes to the service fine but i'm done ignoring ghe good games just because they are "free".
