Is Kerbal Space Program 2 the worst sequel ever?

The playerbase rejected the sequel and the first game lost a lot of players: Comparison - Steam Charts

Lots of games have had sequels bomb compared to the first, like Axiom Verge 2, but I can't think of any other games that did this much damage.

KSP2 had its first big update a month ago. It brought in a lot of players and pushed the "KSP2 is fixed now" narrative, but ksp2 is back down below ksp1 Comparison - Steam Charts

I hope they continue with updates and make the game great but it'll be a long road.
