California sidelines GM Cruise's driverless cars, cites safety risk | Reuters

A human driver hits a pedestrian. The pedestrian is launched into the cruise self driving car. Cruise stops immediately.

Reportedly, the cruise then started up again to pull over and it dragged the pedestrian 20 feet. Reportedly, cruise did not immediately share this detail with the DMV.

Pretty crazy how bad Cruise has been for self driving PR. They're denying this version of events so I have no clue how much of this is FUD. At the very least they seem a lot less mature than Waymo.
