Square Enix doesn't understand AI (their free game sucks)

I don't know if the game even has "AI" to be honest. It plays worse than a text adventure game from 30 years ago. AI is only used to parse player input yet no variation is allowed.

For example in an interrogation the suspect might be uncooperative. The only way to address that is to type "hit" and their name or pronoun. Why wouldn't you just use a traditional UI with a hit button if your options are so limited? You can't even ask for help or a list of what is possible.

I know this is a free tech preview, but it's beyond worthless on the tech side. Games like Event[0] from 7 years ago already did it much better.
