I guess:
A.) Not sure how reliable this is based on the fact his previous report got called out by Sony.

B.) If things were so dire, why isn't Sony pushing the hardware in stores? It's still an exclusive to PS Direct.

wouldn't be surprised.

my coop buddy loves his but it's his first VR.  I'd "like" to get one but as a psvr 1 owner Sony just isn't giving me a good reason to:

1. port astro bot
2 make astro bot 2
3. get half life alyx ported
4. enable media playback
5. better yet, allow it to function on PC
6. enable BC or at least get a much higher % of the backlog ported.  as of now most of my personal library is unplayable.

GT is a pretty killer ap but it can't be the only reason to own one.  I need at least a couple items on that list before I buy one.

Do we know what psvr 1 did in the same amount of time?

Apparently 915k in 4 months is the best early data we have.

I should add that PSVR1 launched during the holiday season.

Sucks for the platform if true, but I was really hoping for an early price cut  8)

A. Can't read the full article. Does it address this at all? Bloomberg has a bad history of making news up.

B. They make a lot more money per headset by selling directly. Putting it in stores would only increase sales a bit unless/until they fix the underlying demand problem.

I can't read the article either. Era posted the first two paragraphs.

QuoteThe Tokyo-based console maker is likely to sell about 270,000 units of the PSVR2 between its Feb. 22 release and the end of March, according to estimates from the research firm IDC. Sony had a lofty goal of making about 2 million units for the PSVR2's launch window, Bloomberg News reported last year.

Seems like they're just ignoring the previous article?
