I think in this run through it took me maybe 6 times to beat compared to probably 15 to 20 the very first time I played.

It also helps to blind fire instead of aiming and to keep strafing all the time

Really interesting. I tried the demo and this genre of gaming is going to be huge. Just such a different experience when nothing is given to you.

You can't see all your options just by doing a quick scan of the environment. Instead you have to think to ask the right questions.

Not sure which AI powers the backend. This specific game is good but has issues. In the demo I told her to change out of her big bulky spacesuit since they weigh a lot and would suck in 1g. She agreed, said she had alternate clothes, and then just stood there. The llm hallucinated what the game could not support.

That's a very different dream....

Quote from: the-Pi-guy on Dec 15, 2014, 03:07 AM1.) Virtual Reality
-  Actually being put in the game, actually being immersed in the game is one of the most exciting prospects for me as a gamer.
2.) AI
-AI is even more exciting for me.  The prospect of playing any game with human like players and being able to go off script is an exciting one.  I'm not talking about just AI that makes decisions, but AI that could be talked to.  Imagine playing Skryim, and you walk up to a character and start a random conversation with them.  They don't just say the same 3 things over and over again.  Instead they learn, and they talk about new experiences.  Imagine playing Uncharted and yelling commands, or starting conversations with Elena, or Chloe.  Whether this will ever happen is anyone's guess.  It's something that a lot of people are woking on, but it is only theory on whether certain aspects of it will work.

3.)Photorealistic Graphics
-Now I know what you are thinking, you probably don't want all games to look like real life.  Not exactly my intention.  I don't necessarily want all games to be photorealistic, but rather I want that same level of detail.
tl;dr
I want immersion, I want to be involved in games, and I want games to be involved with me.

So we're at 3/3 as long as you are ok not having a physical connection in vr.

Cool to see your old 2014 post about ai. It's so easy to forget just how insane modern ai is.

That is coming so so soon. China revealed the first ever advanced robot that is gendered, just a few weeks ago.
