shame TLOU is so good. Plenty of extras added to really expand certain sections from the game. And plenty from the games remixed to work better for TV

Oops

Watched the first episode of TLOU this morning. Thought it was genuinely great.

On a related note, I had no idea that Bella Ramsey (Ellie in TLOU) voices Hilda. Absolutely great.

My thoughts on Velma:

Spoiler for Relatively spoiler free:
The show feels like it's constantly trying over itself to make a joke, be edgy, or make meta-commentary.
Because of that you get like a couple meaningful lines of dialogue a minute.

If you're into absurdity humor, you might find this to be an actually good show.

I was hoping for a Scooby Doo that was more in line with Mystery Incorporated and managed to have an adult spin on it

Instead it manages to feel worse than most of the other series.
Going to spoil the first 5 minutes of the opening here.
Spoiler for Hidden:
We start off with Daphne seeing two cockroaches banging in the women's locker room.

Daphne gets into the shower at school with several other people, and you can clearly see everyone's butts.

The girls spend the next couple minutes talking about how "the first episode of new shows has way more gratuitous nudity than the rest of the series?"

They literally say that. There's no clever way of framing it. They're just smashing the fourth wall to make some meta-commentary.
There's only been one semi interesting story line. But it's so exhausting to get through to it.

TLoU was really good! Seemed really faithful to the game but expanded on it. Beginning was heartbreaking all over again

glad to see everyone enjoying this.

i'm avoiding it for now.
1. i kind of like be late to the party on things like this. i'd rather bing than be drip fed
2. still haven't play TLoU DLC or TLoU 2 so i'd like to avoid spoilers.

Do intend to come back to this someday though.

Tlou is a bit slow but pretty good imo. Changes are interesting.

Feels like some of that, to me atleast, comes from having actually played the game. And with the expanded areas of the beginning, it took a little longer to get to the more exciting stuff.

Spoiler for TLOU episode 1 spoilers:
It's been a while, but I think the prologue is a good bit longer. I think it's like 33 minutes in the show and closer to 20 in the game.

But then afterwards, the show goes a lot faster. It gets to Ellie much faster and leaving much faster I think.
For me at least it's really hard to compare the pacing between the two since the game has so much game stuff that really wouldn't work in the show. No way to have him killing hundreds of people for example.

Adding the friendly guard was a nice work around imo. Just one death yet it can carry a lot more weight.
Holly shame. Is this show gonna be the new game of thrones?
