What are your preconceived notions about VR?

I know, I know.  "Another VR thread, give me a break!"

I was motivated to make this thread, because I see a lot of preconceived notions about VR.
Some of them are horribly wrong:
"people don't want to be standing and gaming, and VR requires you stand"

 some are correct, but weird.
"VR cuts you off from the world"

I am sure this thread is dead in the water...

But what notions about VR do you have?

Pre trying VR myself, I thought positional tracking needed to be super high quality. I still prefer that, but I was surprised by just how much error and jitteriness games can get away with without it being problematic.

A lot of people seem to think that VR is inherently anti-social.
A lot of this seems to stem from misunderstanding the difference between AR and VR, which is fair, because they are a bit loosely defined.
