Technophiles don't really care about price. They care about tech. They're not going to turn their nose up at Scorpio if it isn't $500 or more. No matter what, the higher the price goes, the more potential sales you're going to lose. It just depends on whether or not you're willing to lose money on every sale. Which it doesn't sound like Microsoft is at this point. Which I don't blame them. You're not going to catch up to Sony at this point even if you charge $400 for it because it's an enthusiast product aimed mostly at people with 4K displays that will not have any of its own games. Even if it did, they'd be few and far between.New info. I always said 399 was me being optimistic.

Not a good sign.
I think $449 would be the worst possible. Too expensive for the masses, but too cheap for the technophiles. $399 or $499 need to happen imo.

Based on what I know, what I have been told, and the details of the system, I expect a higher price then most seem to. Gun to my head, I'd say $499, though again that is my estimate, I am not presenting that as fact. It's a lot of expensive tech and MS isn't interested in losing money.
If it's $399? That would be amazing. I don't at all think that will happen, but I'd be very happpy if it did.
