No I haven't seen that.The game engine book has like 3 paragraphs describing deferred rendering, and another paragraph that says this topic is beyond the scope of this book, but Guerrilla Games have an excellent presentation at this website.
Was fun seeing most of those slides and understanding them
It's just always amazes me how much goes into game development. Programming in general, it's like "want to make an app that deals with math, physics, AI, Japanese, some obscure thing you just made up? Programming is for you!"
And games use so many of those things and many others.
This thousand page book will redirect you to several other books that are easily hundreds of pages long, as well as several websites just so you can understand (nearly) everything that goes into game development.
