Oh and we're forgetting about Blizzard, of course. Overwatch, Starcraft, WoW etc.
Yeah, but that falls under Blizzard's banner.  Even then, if WoW wasn't drying up, they wouldn't have made Overwatch.

Haha most definitely not deserved lol.

First couple 100k were real but at this point most people are downvoting mostly because it has so many downvotes.

(plus I think the hatred of the trailer is stupid)

It's cool to hate on Call of Duty. Yet somehow, for all the supposed hatred for the game, it sells millions upon millions of copies. It would be like if everyone "hated" GTA 5. The question would then be, "If you all hate it so much then who the fudge is buying all these copies?". Someone is lying.

Or maybe they are masochists buying games they hate.

They didn't make Overwatch because of anything happening with WoW. Overwatch came from a failed attempt at a second MMO and that MMO began development long before WoW had a serious decline in subscriptions. Titan was a project they came up with because they wanted to. Not because they felt like they needed to. What Titan became, Overwatch, was announced prior to the massive sub loss WoW suffered because its most recent expansion, Warlords of Draenor, ended up a total bust. They didn't want everything they worked on to go to waste and they decided to try and make a hero shooter using some of the characters and concepts from Titan.

Even at its current user rate, WoW greatly exceeds most, if not all, other MMOs. Heroes of the Storm was their middle finger to Valve for taking the DOTA name and making a MOBA and Hearthstone was a passion project that exploded. None of these newer games are needed, especially not Overwatch. Blizzard brings in about 70 to 80 million a month just on current WoW subscriptions. Hearthstone has several tens of millions of users pumping money into Blizzard buying card packs and expansions for a game that takes very little development effort. Blizzard makes so much money on just those two games alone that they wouldn't have to make anything else. They're set.

i am one of those people who say the BF trailer shimed all over the Cod one. but no way... no way is BF gonna kill "CoD". in fact all this CoD vs BF talk is just gonna benefit CoD. BF will sell shame loads, if its any good.

but still, doesnt mean we cant enjoy awesome shame like this

Quote from: DerNebel on May 11, 2016, 09:15 PMHas someone else noticed how nowadays every freaking Spencer tweet is made into a pseudo news story by the gaming press?

How is this tweet worth a dang story on Gamespot?

Phil Spencer on Twitter: "@YTMaxi Partnership with Nintendo on this has been great, nice to see Minecraft doing so well on the Wii U and to get the Mario content."

Probably because it's the only thing anyone really has to talk about with Xbox right now.

its really not the journalists fault here. after all its very clear they have no interest in quality journalism, they just are desperate for hits/money. and when you have people gobbling up what ever this guy has to say, well then of course they are gonna keep making articles about it, even if he says fudgy nothing. its really the fanbases fault here
