Seems pretty good considering this is ps5 only right now.  I could see this hitting 8ish million or so in a year.  But who knows.  Word of mouth, besides the idiot console war people, seems really good.  i even got one of my friends to try the demo and he bought it instantly after finishing.

Final Fantasy XVI feels uneven in a lot of ways.

Visually for example, there's lots of incredible animations and lip syncing depending on the cutscene. But then there are other areas, where I'm pretty convinced that the lips moving is done at random...

Side quests, a lot of them are like "go deliver this meal to that guy 10 feet away", and then there's others that are way more involved.

Having an absolute fantastic time though.

Looks like I'm a little under a third of the way through the game. Wild.

So i guess i'm on mission 29 out of 68. dang.  Actually really happy cause i really like this game.

There's a weird sense, where it feels like the budget ran out in some spots. (A bit of an exaggeration.)

But there are some quests, where they don't have recorded dialogue. And it's a little jarring, because there is usually dialogue. There's lots of dialogue when you're just wandering around. But some of the quests somewhat jarringly have half recorded dialogue.

yeah everytime you go to a vendor in the hideaway and ask them a question they sometimes say the first few words.  Its so weird cause its not like the convos are long.

I will say as great as the story is and the boss fights are epic it does start to get a bit repetitive after a while.  i just finished a quest that was literally just all fetch quests for like an hour.  BORING.  I don't mind those type of quests here and there, but not for that long.
