I get that you're trying to push some messages in the show, but when you keep pushing it over the show being entertaining that's too much and ruins the show. I get that they wanted to talk about mental health. But God dang, they brought in the most boring character ever (the therapist) and that took over a huge Chunk of the show.

Spoiler for season 3? Or 2 I forgot

Spoiler for Hidden:
Also if I was a club owner and my manager left one of the most important games of the season, at the dying minutes, when the team needed him the most, because an anxiety attack, I'd fire him on the spot. I get that talking about mental health is all good and dandy, but if you can't handle a high intense pressure don't take on a high intense games. Sports is about teamwork and comrade, not about quiting and hiding.

It was also a moment that went against teds entire character and what they showed the first 2 seasons. Quirky down to earth guy, but big heart and up for the big moments, doesn't back down.

Yeah 99% of modern media is stupid like that. The fbi show I watched the other night had a prisoner set for execution in a day. The fbi was chasing a current day murderer and realized the guy in prison was innocent.

They had a big stupid race against the clock because they wanted to push a message, instead of just a realistic judge going "oh wow you found the body from this old case? And the people involved with this old case are being murdered today? And the modern murderer's dna looks like a match to the old dna we found? Guess I'll delay the execution."

I wish shows/movies/games were smarter but I still try to enjoy the good elements if they're there like with Ted. Or I just enjoy the trainwreck like with this fbi show and Chicago Med.

Velma season 2 is out on Max.

It's amazing how upset people get about this show.

I think at this point, I have pretty much everything from Disney+ I would be interested in, minus like two shows.

WB has taken a ton of stuff off of Max, to the point that there's probably just as much that I have that isn't on the service as stuff that I still want that's on the service.

I feel like the biggest thing is there's more anime I am interested in getting. There are a few other things, but that feels like the biggest category for me.

Both Avatars?
Mando and Andor season 1s?
Behind the Attraction?
Zombies 3?
Shogun?

Ok I planned to make a big long list but yeah, every streaming service seems so pitiful nowadays. I can't tell if its streaming itself that is dying or just every platform fighting for scraps.

for a long time all services were willing to run at a loss so long as the user base grew.

in the higher interest rate economy they can't do that so they are trying to make profits. that means reducing costs. ...aka not making as much or as good of content.

lucky generative AI is here to make content cheap to make...

Instead of googling it, is bluey like a blues clues related thing? Never watched either but I've seen bluey mentioned a lot recently.

omg no.

blue clues is for like 3 year old to learn colors and letters.

bluey is a cartoon that is amazing for anyone 6-60. it is especially good for kids to watch with their parents. it is Soo good at capturing the mundane aspects of family that is both heartwarming and fun.

I've been watching Fullmetal Alchemist, the "inferior" 2003 version this past weekend.

It's almost a little wacky.

Spoiler for Hidden:
The last episode they tricked a corrupt mine owner into selling his mine to the people, with fake money. It had kind of a Pokemon vibe where everything turned out fine.

The two episodes before that:
- previous episode involved catching a serial killer, who picked up the friend of the main character
- previous episode before that, involved a research scientist who merged his daughter with his dog. And his 4 year old daughter got blown up at the end of the episode.

Speaking of train wrecks, wowza was CSI Las Vegas silly last night.

4 people. Two divorced parents, their daughter, and their daughter's fiance. The father and fiance are both found dead on the same day, so the whole show focuses on if it was a coincidence or double murder.

Right at the end we find out that the mom killed her daughter's fiance because she wanted more time with her daughter. Then the daughter found out and killed her father to try and frame him for the murder.

Both get arrested yet the whole time the lead detective just keeps telling the daughter how sorry the detective is and how children are never responsible for the sins of their parents. Wtf this was premeditated murder. Why did the show act like it was a sad thing she was getting arrested?

It's not worth watching but you can see this weird ending at the 37 minute mark Watch CSI: Vegas Season 3 Episode 7: Coinkydink - Full show on CBS

Speaking of spoilers.
This trailer has some.

I'm a big fan of the USA blue Sky shows.

- Monk, Psych, White Collar

Never watched Burn Notice.

Suits has a great opening, but I feel like the show gets way more love than it really deserves.

I'm getting really into Fullmetal Alchemist.

Been a long time since I've been wanting to actually binge a show.
