Microsoft Will Absolutely Make Money On Starfield, Phil Spencer Says
It's a little harder to tell how Microsoft makes money on games with Game Pass in the mix, but the math isn't that different from how things used to be.

That article has a hilarious part. "Starfield will have the fewest bugs of any Bethesda game to date"
Lol. Its just so funny they felt they had to say that. Its hilarious how Bethesda is so well known for bugs.

it amazing that the conversation has been so "60 fps" or the game is "unplayable" all the way until starfield and now the conversation is so absolutely taken a 180.  "30 fps is fine guys"...

Cause every online conversation is just fanboys being fanboys.

"Exclusives are anti-consumer!"
Ms starts making exclusives again.
"Making cod exclusive is good for consumers"

I've always been team 30fps so I'm happy. Choppy 30fps sucks but a locked 30 is perfect for the games I care about.

i'm not really team anything.   i've played with graphics vs performance modes on several of the titles i've played on ps5 and my opinion is:
- i can't tell any difference in framerate
- i can't tell any difference in graphics

i think all this effort devs are putting into different modes is just a waste of effort.  put forth what you think is the best for your game and be done with it.  imo.

Is this you lol?

I prefer 30fps because it lets devs do more, but it's pretty easy to tell 30fps and 60fps apart visually. Maybe your tv is adding in frames for you.

yeah i can usually see/feel a difference between 30fps and 60fps, but its never enough for me to be like yes it has to be 60fps or its not playable.  I love me some eye candy in games so give me all the 30fps as long as its locked at least 90% of the time

i think games are just too detailed for me to pick up on all the details.  like that DF starfield video where they were showing that the reflections came from the background but ignored the people sitting at the table.   like,.. even when slowed down to ~1 frame per second looping back and forth with narration of what visual thing i was suppose to be offended by i took me a minute or two to "see it".

It's not that serious friend.

1. howard is right,.. having 10% of planets with life on it is "pretty busy from a scientific point of view"

2. still,.. this is pretty core to the reason i'm not actually hyped for starfield or anything else going for "space sim".   exploring desolation just doesn't sound fun to me.   pretty much the exact opposite of fun imo.   i like the density and pacing provided by a linear experience like uncharted or GoW.

anyways.  only ~100 planets in starfield have life on them.  that scope sounds a lot more limited than the promise if you ask me.

100 planets tto explore is enough for me.

I like the idea of desolation of space too. But I do agree that generally that feeling doesn't work i  games.  Well open world game.es

1000 total planets
100 non empty planets
10 interesting planets

Not even a bad thing as long as the rpg mechanics are good. I will love building bases and expanding my empire if the game allows it. Only thing I fear is that there won't be enough automation.

Just imagine the horror if you can build bases everywhere but you're expected to return to each and every one of them every 30 minutes.

so starfield is a digital only release.

Tweet was deleted. Ain't it cool that I made the forum archive tweets?  8)

Sucks for collectors. I'll play on gamepass so it won't hurt me specifically but I love having physical games.
