well,. I guess it's official.  I gave into the hype and pre-ordered.  now just a short wait until I can play.  I really hope the jumping falafel turbo is worth full price....

Finished GoW 2018's story. (My second playthrough).

Got to the last chapter of shadow of the tomb raider last night.  i should be able to finish the game off with maybe another hour of play.  i'm basically headed for a buzzer beater but i should be able to finish just in time to start GoW tonight when it unlocks at 11pm here.  i might just go to bed and play tomorrow but at least i won't have tomb raider lingering.  ...the game's really not that long if you stopped trying to find every artifact and side quest.

Horizon Forbidden West had a real time cutscene that felt like CGI. Bet GOW tops that.

I wish since the collectors edition comes with a digital code that they would just email the code instead of having to wait for the card in the box

Looking at the meta scores for the series. Is this one of the most consistent series in terms of critical reception?  Especially the main line games all being 90 and above. Even Ascension wasn't terrible at an 80

Yeah pretty amazing. Naughty Dog as a studio isn't even that good.

They do have 5 recent games above 90 since the PS3 came out, but not quite as consistent as Santa Monica.

They're a tad underestimated as a studio I think.

Quite a few people on Era didn't seem to think that GoW 1-3 were as critically acclaimed as they were.

Man mjolnir in the collectors edition is so sick. The detail is incredible. And has a good weight to it
