Well then I don't want a price increase which will certainly happen! After a year of using gamepass a heck of a lot, I think it's near worthless for anything except new games. Old ones disappear so frequently and I think it's only a 20% discount if you want to buy them.

I agree with banana.  

I have a ton of ps+ games.  too many really.  I don't play too many of them either.  i've looked through gamepass's library and have the same general disgust as my ps+ library,.. I don't want to play many of them and for the few I do it is of a lesser priory than other games I have or want.

and then it's expensive.  ps+ is $45 each black Friday.  gamepass is $180.  I don't spend $200 a year on games,.. I'm fine waiting a year for price drops so most of my games cost less than $20.

between knowing I own them, can't lose access to them, and I play a lot of games that never come to the service I think buying is a much better choice for me.

To be fair, gamepass ultimate is $100 on black friday.

PS+ Tier 1: current PS+
PS+ Tier 2: greatly expanded instant collection
PS+ Tier 3: greatly expanded PS Now with PS1, PS2, PSP

teir 1: online and cloud saves but no games. cheaper than current ps+
teir 2: current ps+
teir 3: ps+ and ps now with some other junk

I think ps would be the defacto console for the half the players that just want to buy their 1 game a year (like fifa or CoD) and play online and don't give a flying fudge about the hundreds of games on the service they have no interest in playing.

I think these days people are really reconsidering how many subs they have and what do they really need.

I doubt sony would restructure the PS+ in a way that would possibly net them less revenue. I think the lowest tier will still be the same PS+ we have now, or make it even a bit more expensive.

A lot of people don't give a shame about the free games, and would switch to the lower price tag. Would be bad business from Sony IMO.

But I agree with you generally as well, I prefer picking out my own games to play and buy. I wait on deals personally and get games then. In the last 3 years the most I spent on a game was 20 for spiderman and days gone. So yeah 180$ a year on a fudgy sub is crazy for me

as i read it,..

something that could get me exited about the higher tiers.   shareplay without the 60 minute limit.   wonderful feature destroyed by that limit.   i get a limit is probably required but make it 4 hours.  let my game 1 whole evening without having to log back in 4 times...
