Of course they are, if they can persuade people to buy Xbox One's in this way because they hear that the demand is growing ... why not?
It would be stupid to say:  "We're on second place again, we hope to be first sometime this year so please back us up until we can drop the price further then Wii-U's".

It is a lot fun how I started to follow VGC again that the war changed from PS4 x Xbox One to Xbox One x Wii U... people now just open threads about that

I can confirm that even if you include the bundled version of Madden, it still sold better on PS4.
