At this point, I think it's full steam ahead on orbital flights. Starships can work.

No reason not to keep doing these tests with operational flights. None of the flights have had ruds on ascent and a starship prototype on a superheavy prototype should be somewhat reliable relatively soon. Fill it with starlink sats and it can start generating revenue before the end of the year. Landing and other refinements can become secondary.

Essentially every other rocket becomes redundant the second starship reusability comes online. ~100,000 tons to orbit for only a few million dollars. Orbital refueling and all the unproven elements might be needed for landing on Mars, but even without them this is the largest and cheapest rocket ever made.
