Good point. Like Kitler said, it seems they might be increasing presence in the mobile market for when they drop handhelds

honestly,.. vita should have been a smartphone from the beginning.   or at least have a phone option like iphone/itouch.  i would buy a well designed "psp phone".  all they need to do is take the vita and make it a bit smaller with retractable analogs and slap android in for the OS.   blamo,.. all over your face.

I'm not sure if Sony's going to drop dedicated handhelds per say.  I think they may be building towards a handheld/android device.  Though I do hope they make another xperia play like phone or at least a sleek attachment for the Z line.
