Think a ~70$ pricecut or a new bundle is necessary for black Friday. Otherwise it's a step back.

no,.. this is just sad now.  i'm quite certain xbox will be down YoY over the holiday sale period and by probably a lot.  it has some decent games this year but it won't counter act it having an effectivly higher price than last year, a 9 month drought of games, and it being common knowledge now that ps4 is killing xbox and getting all the best 3rd party games exclusive, first, or with extra content.

Yeah a $50 cut would only keep them competitive, not put them on top.

down until they cut price again at least.  i dunno if MS can afford to or not but i'll say this,.. ever since nadella took the reigns xbox seems to be doing less and less.  i think nadella is really cracking down on spending more than they can make back and that xbox will be basically in survival mode for the rest of the gen.

I think MS has made it clear that they're prioritizing revenue over beating its competition. We have a hint as to whether MS is profiting from hardware and Phil's response was quite hesitant. You can hear his response at 49:39.
