I do wonder if Astrobot will get reviewed much, there's a lot of games to review at the same time and many might not think there's much point in reviewing it.

It'll probably get taken into account with PS5 reviews though.

the original got 89 despite being sent out to die in the western release.   this looks like it got a lot of love and attention so I don't expect it can do much worse but i'm not sure if it can do much better either.

oh for sure.  sony clearly sent demon's souls out to die.  they had no confidence in it.  almost no marketing and terrible in-game translations.   ...but then it went viral because it's such a god dang good game.   if the original game can get 89 one would hope that the remake that clearly got a lot of love can do better.

For comparison they gave the original a lowly 9.

Second review. Gamekult claim they use a 10 point scale but they've never given a 10. So this 9/10 is the highest praise they can give, in fact its only the 9th 9/10 they've ever given and the first for a Playstation exclusive.

Look at their metacritic page Gamekult Profile - Metacritic 95% of their scores are lower than average. Wow! A great sign for Demon's Souls.
