i don't hate it but the internet has a point in that it would look better with a black case instead of blue.

Too many colors. Black case with same cover could kinda match the system.

They're using the blue cases cause Blurays still com in blue.  Bu with that said, they're probably using UHD disks, those come in black.

It's easy to change the color. MS uses green cases for their Blu Rays.
Blue is still Sony's brand is the big reason.

They pushed black for PS2/3, with red for greatest hits.
They have pushed blue for their PS4 games, and even kept the blue for the greatest hits.  They're just keeping blue for PS5. 

It is a bit odd though that they are pushing the two tone black/white while keeping the blue.
Well, they really should have swapped the black and white.

I figured they were using blue cases since you can just do a bulk order on them and use them for movies and games.  Microsoft doesn't sell movies.  Sony does.  So  Microsoft can custom order, Sony would be better off bulk ordering blue cases.  But, that's just a guess.

Nah the blue ray cases are slightly smaller and are slightly curvier.

yeah, the godfall art is soo good it almost made me forget the ps5 box design is lame.
