Was Ratchet & Clank the only game from today that had a great showing?

Lots of great games were announced. Yet most trailers were just teases or showed what we expected. If the script had leaked in advance, I think Ratchet would have had my only "wow" moment.

In terms of gameplay?  Yes.
In terms of ... tech... or maybe art?  No.  Kana looks and animates better.  I actually think Kana was the best looking game of the show to be honest.
Edit: Kena.  Kana is a japanese wrestler currently using the name Asuka.

Tech, yes.

It felt like the only game that really made use of the SSD with all the crazy portal stuff.

Horizon, gt7, and spiderman all look great.

Their trailers however are pretty much what I would have expected based off the titles. The hype imo is more that the games were announced, not that they had great showings.


I need to rewatch kana. My stream was having issues at that point. Other new ips look cool too. Ratchet is not the game I'm most excited about.

They look great, Horizon especially looked fantastic.  

But they looked about what I expected them to.  
Ratchet and Clank managed to go better than I expected.  It wasn't the visuals though, just how they showed the game doing things with an ease that just doesn't seem to exist anywhere else.

Kena probably also. But yes, we needed more gameplay segments. Spidey was a nice surprise but we saw very little and know very little, Horizon 2 looks great but we very much expected it to be there and expected it to look great, needed some gameplay. Sony will have another show with more of a gameplay focus hopefully.

One cool thing in Horizon 2 is that we can dive underwater. It's minor but it was still nice seeing a gameplay related upgrade.

i agree.  rachet and clank was the best in show!

i think that because i love rachet but also because it has the most "gameplay" in its trailer and because it's gameplay clearly showed something that could not be done even without ps5's SSD.   i was soo dang impressive.
