Missing franchises this gen

Some of the biggest games last gen did not see a single sequel in this gen.  Kind of crazy to think about.  

Skyrim was released over 8 years ago and there's no sequel anywhere close.  
GTA V was 7 years ago and we are likely a few years away yet.

No GTA game this gen yet GTA was in the top 10 sellers every single year and was the biggest selling game of the gen. Funny how it goes.

Skyrim was re-released over and over while Bethesda iced up the fallout series instead of making a sequel.

Maybe Bioshock? I think there are reports of a new one in the works.

Everything else seems to be dead, like resistance or portal.
