Legend

A lot cheaper than Mojang.

Considering how big Spiderman was, this is an absolute bargain.

nice, quite the bargain!

sony should have plenty of cash left over for kojima, level-5, q-games, fromSoftware, and zenimax.

There is no IP involved within the studio other than Sunset overdrive which isnt worth much.

They already own ratchet and resistance. Marvel owns spiderman and Activision owns spyro.

I know.

But still it's funny to think that Sony probably paid what they made from Spider-man.

disney (aka marvel) does not have a viable game developer to work on marvel projects.

while the IP is not technically owned by sony by buying insomiac,.. it tethers this franchise to sony for the foreseeable future.   as a independent developer it could be quite possible that spiderman 2 would have ended up as a multiplat release because insomiac's involvement is much more important to the sequal than sony's.
