Quote from: Legend on Mar 13, 2025, 07:33 PMIt would be great if they switched to a family system like steam. You simply make a group of people and everyone in the group has access to every game owned by someone in the group. Only restriction is that you can't have the same game played on multiple computers at the same time unless multiple people in the group own it.
limitation to group size?

that would work for me.   my wife hates games so really only need me and my 2 kids in the plan.   would be really helpful on a nintendo system as well where having 2 system feels like an inevitability but internet on a plane/car isn't a reliable thing.  but nintendo operates like a monopoly so maybe i should just feel good that nintendo doesn't charge and hourly fee on top of a $70 purchase...

6 people max. The way they stop it from being abused is that you can not join a new family group unless you haven't been a member of a family group for 12 months.

I used to not mind the old playstation/nintendo method but after steam introduced this new system, wow I would hate to go back.

at this point a ps5 port is just about the least surprising news ever.  but this probably points to the port being not too far off.
