i was curious about how this would turn out.  i read the reviews and other than that "40" review the reviews are really positive.   Even the reviews of "80" are really positive and don't really read like a "80" review.

This is where "bias" really kicks into the review process.  I'll bet as an exclusive the meta would be 10 point higher.

Indeed. It's getting lots of praise for narrative and gameplay for example

Havent read the reviews. But basically yes. If it were a beloved studio or franchise, it would have gotten higher reviews most likely.
