Quote Notifications Now Released with basic functionality

I'm honestly not feeling too hot about it either, but it has potential imo. The old is backed up and could be turned back on with the flip of a switch just in case this doesn't work out.

..but it does kind of take over the site with color.   the nice thing about vgcz is the icon is informative but not overbearing.  you have the icon just to the left of the thread title that i have no idea what it is trying to communicate.  you could do the same idea there with O/B/Gr/Gray icons without overwhelming the entire front page with color.

This I agree with. The icons we have are not really informative and hardly anyone actually uses them. We never settled on what the icons meant anyways. Replacing them with color coded blocks might look better but I honestly still just prefer to the "New" and "Quote" icons.

I would like to have the blocks immediately to the left color coded as topics you've posted in versus topics you haven't. As far as being quoted is it even possible to have another icon for "Quote" like we have for "New"? Like for example;

My vote is to darken the blocks next to threads you've posted but keep the same color for threads you haven't posted in. Eliminating the current unused icons. You could make them colored if you want. I vote for a quote button that would appear next to the new button on thread titles that takes you to the earliest new quote or page with a quote of you on it that you haven't viewed yet.

Yeah the coloration would be fine. As far as the icon you can click for quote, I don't think having an unlabeled icon for the purpose of finding your first unread quote will be a good idea. Most people won't even think to click it. It's not expressing what it is.
