Updated Forum Rules: Please Read

The forum rules have been updated.

We do not plan to go as far as banning users, but we will begin to crack down and enforce these modified rules as needed.

A nice and friendly poster should not have any issues with moderation on the VizionEck forum. We are generally lax and will work with members to get them settled with the rules.


A: Responsibility. Within reason, you are responsible for how the community reacts to your posts. If you cause someone to break a forum rule then you are at least partially at fault. Moderations on your end are unlikely unless you're also breaking other rules at the same time.

B: Baiting. This rule covers the act of purposely trying to get other members to break the rules, regardless of if people fall for the bait. If people do take the bait, then you're also breaking rule A. We will use our best judgment to determine what your intentions were.

C: Insults. Do not insult or mock people. This includes forum members and non forum members. Celebrities and well known public figures however can be mocked/personally insulted, as long as they're not also members of the forum. So if you watched a reality TV show the other night and want to say how a person on the show was crazy, stupid, an a-hole, etc. then that's ok.

Insulting a person's actions however is allowed. Tell someone they're trolling, call a post stupid, etc. Be careful to only insult the action itself, or else you'd be breaking rule C. Also don't go overboard and accidentally break rule A.

D: Trolling. Don't do it.

E: False Advertising. Thread titles should explain the thread and spoiler tags should be used correctly. "Rick rolls" and other acts of false advertising for the sake of getting a laugh are exempt, but don't go overboard.

F: Privacy. You must respect the privacy of other members. If you find out something personal about a member that is not common knowledge, do not post it without the member's express consent.

G: Keep it G. This forum is public. Anyone can come and view its pages. For a guest, the forum needs to be 100% family friendly. This does not mean you are necessarily limited however. We have an optional profanity filter that automatically replaces censored words for guests and users with it enabled. For pictures and other NSFW content that isn't covered through the profanity filter, surround it in NSFW tags as such

P: No Pirates. General discussions about piracy and its morality are ok, but do not link or assist other members in performing it. If people have to pay to view the content, don't post the content. No magazine scans.

Similarly discussions about the morality of an illegal activity are ok, but do not link or assist other members in performing it.

In this case it's actually an objective fact. Should be fine.
