Real-Time Rendering, Fourth Edition and Game Engine Architecture, Third Edition are coming | ResetEra

QuoteBoth are coming very soon. The previous editions have been great and were overall really helpful to me. For Real-Time Rendering it has been a almost a decade since the third edition so it will be interesting to see what the updates will be.

Looks like the raytracing demo.

This will make a fine addition to my collection.

It's a quote from Star Wars.

My only game book is Blood, Sweat, and Pixels.

At least you use memes correctly.

Why are you using a meme without meaning it?

I bet Game Engine Architecture will go into some Uncharted 4 tech.

Pretty sure it was just updates to what they have.
But the second edition added some The Last of Us details.

They apparently added some 200 pages...

Honestly I find reading books on this type of stuff is not helpful for me, personally.  I have to get in there and just do it myself.  I do love me some game art books though!

Well you focus a lot more on the art side of things so that'd make sense. I'd love to read these books so that I don't have to reinvent the wheel when programing.
