Quote from: Xevross on Jun 07, 2018, 10:37 PMThere was a facebook post with the Sony e3 teaser video and so many of the comments are just so dumb. Loads of people saying "we already know about all of those games, I'm not going to watch if they're not announcing anything" ... oh yeah sure they're going to put their surprise announcements in this teaser trailer to show you what you're going to be surprised by if you watch the show...

Why are so many people so dumb :'(
It's Facebook...

Yeah but most of these people are claiming to be proper fans and all that, not just random ignorant people. Also people on facebook are real, I was just mainly complaining about people being dumb, I'm fully aware I should expect it in comment sections. But this is like passive dumbness, it annoys me even more

It's funny because you really don't notice it as much until you go online, because the people you're around most of the time are in a similar position as you I guess. Similar education, age, experiences. When viewing comments online by lots of people you have no connection with it can be a shock!

I'd say it's because being a game fan and being a game industry fan are different things. Millions of people play games all the time and tune in for E3, but a significantly smaller amount of people read about the boring things outside the big announcements.

Plus being on the internet exposes people to different situations. You might think your friend is normal, only to find out they post about how the moonlanding was faked on facebook.

This is a big factor.
Even people that do read about the announcements, very few of them think about those announcements before they are made.

Probably can't watch EA's conference cause my cousin is having a graduation open house that day at that exact time.

Ouch.

A couple years ago we hosted a birthday party for a relative during Sony's show. Somehow even if you work at home and plan ahead, stuff still comes up.

Spoiler for Hidden:
At least it&#39;s just EA <img src="https://vizioneck.com/forum/Smileys/alienine/tongue.png" alt="&#58;P" title="Tongue" class="smiley">

Well EAs conferences are usually boring. It's better to just watch the highlights or want you're interested after rather than watching the show live.

My Uni newspaper had an e3 reference in it today, in the satirical horoscope section. It was kind of funny to see.

"This week you plan to spend all your time inside, watching live-streams of game announcements from E3 alone and stuffing your face. A bit like every weekend then"
