Sure there were new game trailers, but what new games were there?

I recall Monster Hunter, Shadow of Colossus remaster, and a few VR games.

Here we got a few VR games, a MediEvil remaster(bigger than a SoC in my opinion).

I don't think anything matches the Monster Hunter announcement, but aside from that, in terms of game announcements I'd put PSX ahead.

Presentation, flow of the conferences, new trailers and gameplay, sure E3 did much better.
But in terms of actually new games being announced they are pretty much neck and neck.

Ok so yeah, in terms of announcement they were both pretty bad and didn't have much. But for gameplay/trailers in general E3 was just sooo much better, so clearly E3 was better overall.

I guess if you prefer cringey interviews that tell you about one thing about a game over big gameplay demos and trailers then you could think this was better.

I like the "cringe."

So I'm going to choose to believe that rumour, which stated that Sony dialed back PSX to be able to dial up next years E3.

That being said, I am confused that they still haven't announced the GoW release date at this point. Then again, they announced SotC's release date essentially in a blog post after their PGW conference instead of, you know, at the end of the trailer they showed during that show. Or GTS, where they announced the date a couple weeks after E3 instead of at E3.

At this point it's almost like Sony is trolling with their release date announcements. Watch Days Gone come out in May or something.

So detroit is spring 2018?  Did we know that before PSX?

Yes we did.  2018 was announced at E3 I believe, and Spring 2018 was announced a few months ago.

For me, like 90% of the reason I watch conferences is to see new games being announced.

The only game I'm really interested to see more trailers of is probably Death Stranding, because how weird everything looks and I'm curious about how it'll play.

Not interested to see GoW, Detroit, Dreams, Days Gone, etc.

I wonder what will be shown for TLOU Part 2.  Some new stuff or just discussion on the ones that have been shown.   Likely the latter, but we can dream!

Oh, and I want to see Ghost of Tsushima gameplay.  Hoping it'll be more RPG.

I'm okay with cringe.
