Amazing sales for the witcher 3, not sure I can wait until after my exams for this one...

It would seem the xbox advertising was ineffective, the RPG audience on PS4 is just so much bigger.

Interestingly PS4 games make up 6 of the top 10 (2 XBO, 1 PC, 1 360) in a week where you'd have expected Xbox One sales to pick up. Looking at amazon as well, it seems PS4 is smoking hot right now.

Would be interesting to hear about W3 digital sales too, because I'm sure it sold very well digitally (at least on PC).

I think the PS4 version did so well for two reasons. One is that the install base of PS4 is more hard core, while a lot of Xb1 players are more casual (the type who only play AC, COD, fifa etc.) Two is that there has been some aggressive PS4 bundling with the witcher and bloodborne, particularly at game. Even though MS had the advertising, XB1+ The Witcher bundles are few and far between and only similarly priced to PS4 bundles, when PS4 is usually more expensive. PS4 is definitely selling very well at the moment

dang, ps4 takes the lions share of witcher sales even though Xbox had the marketing.  Nicely done.

Holy fudge. The PS4 version outsold the XB1 version of The Witcher III by 2 to 1 in the UK. Considering that the UK is the little bro of the US, the split is likely similar in that market, too. Did Microsoft actually try to advertise the XB1 version or did they just not care, at all?

So not only does the PS4 have a larger JRPG fanbase, but it also has a larger WRPG fanbase.

I'd think it's the opposite. XBO players are more of the core crowd/xbox fans, while PS4 is a one size fits all type deal.

That's not what its like here. Most of the more casual gamers you see here have got xbox ones.

Yeah since every game over a million on xbox one is either shooter sports racing or launch title
this does not bode well for kh3 or ff15 on it
