always was and jk's trans comments didn't damage it. to be frank a vast majority of people just don't give a shame about trans. no love. no hate. sheer indifference.

You know, I was looking at the PS3's PS2 emulator compatability and I noticed there were quite a few Harry Potter games on PS2. Kind of crazy that those games, while I'm sure the gameplay is questionable, sold poorly/mediocre, yet this game sold amazing.

They were definitely mediocre games.

I actually played two of them on PC.

I played one of them on PS2.

Beyond quality of the games, I think Hogwarts Legacy benefits from the lack of good Harry Potter movies at the moment. Back on PS2 even a great game couldn't have competed with the films.

Interesting note from the UK 2022 report from ERA are the relatively low percentage of digital share in Sony first party titles.

Japan - PS5 has now sold 3m! That is in 121 weeks surpassing the PS3's 125 weeks and the PS4's 131 weeks! Last week PS5 (78k) outsold Switch again (66k). #PS5

That's awesome! I'm amazed such a bulky console is doing so well over there. Last gen it felt like switch was taking over permanently.

I wonder why sales jumped so much there. Shortages, sure, but the boost has been pretty consistent
