I think it was the best selling R&C of the franchise, at least in terms of first month sales.

Quote from: DerNebel on Nov 08, 2016, 08:12 PMMan, I don't know if anyone here's watching/listening to PS I love You, the podcast by Greg Miller and Colin Moriarty from time to time, but that shame is becoming completely impossible to enjoy solely because of Colin. That man has always been ranting about shame but recently it's been getting insufferable.

I mean I have my times when I complain about Sony delays, but this week Colin is going completely off the deep end with a huge rant about how Sony doesn't have any remarkable downloadable exclusives anymore, just like they have apparently lost the ability to discern projects that are doomed to flop from the get go and how they don't market the downloadable exclusives they have right anymore (he for instance blames Sony for nobody talking about Bound and not the fact that game was generally simply not that well received) and how they don't market their games right anymore in general. Because he seems to apparently have build a completely seperate reality for himself where a) a games success is solely measured by how many people tweet him about it and b) generation 7 Sony didn't have games flopping left and right (remember 7 out of 10 Sony game projects used to fail to make any money) constantly because they either didn't market them for shame or they shame some BS out that most people knew didn't have market potential.

Also he apparently for some f'd up reason believes that Sony didn't give R&C enough marketing attention (movie, anyone?) and that nobody talks about that game because of that (complete BS), that Drawn to Death should have been a $60 release with a campaign and shame (lol) and he's still so salty about the Pro that he believes that it won't bring the PS4 back on top in NA in terms of sales, or he at least strongly doubts it will.

Had to rant about this man ranting for a minute, sorry.
What an idiot!

I did want to get into this but that guy comes off as somebody whose worried about he's perceived and feels he needs to be overcritical of Sony so he doesn't come over as biased.

PlayStation Store: October's Top Downloads – PlayStation.Blog

Rigs not even in the top 10 of VR games... someone has to explain this to me some day.

Legend

Is rigs a good game or is it a good vr game? I think that might be the problem right now.

People want software that focuses on the gimmick of VR. Once the post launch drought starts kicking in, I think Rigs will perform better.

PS4 sales tripled in UK due Pro launch.

Using the week avg. of October that means cover 50k PS4's sold last week.

Xbox One sales boosted 85% too due OG being sold at 179 with 3 games.

110,000 PS4 and Xbox One machines sold in the UK last week | GamesIndustry.biz

65k PS4s (40k Pro + 25k Standard)
45k X1s

Not exactly a mindblowing launch. Thanks Brexit.

Ohhhhh way better than my estimates... fantastic.

PS3 Slim did 41k in 2009... Pro did really great.

Look at the revenue:

PS4 65k = £20m
XB1 45k = £9m

These OG XB1 £179 bundles with 3 games are really hurting MS.

ethomaz

Ohhhh it was 4 games and not 3... the actual Tesco bundle:

£179

Xbox One 500GB Console - Matte Black
Forza Horizon 3
Gears of War 4
Rise of The Tomb Raider
Quantum Break

I'm not really sure why people have chosen the PS3 Slim as the thing to compare this to but ok. I don't know what I expected, but I'm not massively impressed by the Pro number, I guess we'll have to see how things go on from here.

PS3 Slim was the most successful hw revision launched in UK to date... better than XB1S... that is why they are comparing with it.

PS. There so many OG XB1 units in UK yet... I guess it is the same for US.

^^ man titanfall is really bombing. EA iced up, their obsession with wanting to kill CoD really hurt them a lot. the problem is that the game is solid, and has great practices when it comes to DLC and such.

princevenom

so when will sony announce there black friday / holidays   bundles

That's a rather large difference in earned revenue considering the sales ratio.
