40m Xbox Ones?  When were these predictions made?
When MS thought they would take the world by storm with their stupid US centric TV plan?

That sounds about right.

Just finished reading the Fable article.  dang, it was pretty much axe 343 or axe Lionhead...

Minecraft's expectations are maybe to push the Windows Store?

Compile Twitter, Google, Amazon, historical NPD, etc, data and try to figure out sales.

Whoa. I didn't read that part. Microsoft actually debated killing off 343?

If the rumors are true, then what were Microsoft's expectations for W10 and Minecraft? :o

It sounds like 600m for W10.

They forecast was over 1b W10 devices in 3 years.

They are right now at 200-300k W10 devices with near 1.5 year.

W10 adoption even with free upgrades and all are really low for a market with billions of PCs.

Not entirely.

Halo failed, Xbox Failed, Windows Store Failed, Minecraft Failed.  Spencer had to pretty much put the blame somewhere.  So Lionhead took the fall.

On a side note, Persona 5 is doing rather well on Amazon.

man was that a depressing read. i feel really bad for lionhead. MS completely iced them over.

they were forced to ditch their ideas, made to create a F2P game, and the integration of smart glass, cloud, windows 10, windows store, high end graphics and single player were all forced on them. while their werent allowed to release on steam or win7/8. basically the demands were A LOT and they continuesly had their user base reduced due to MS decisions.

fable legends never had a chance, even if it was great, it was always going to be Axed based on what MS did and what happened. MS literally killed their 4th biggest studio. shame management at its best.

Since Sony told us that PS4 passed 40 million near the end of May, and PS4 is at about 13.7m in the US, we know that US still accounts for about 1/3 of PS4 sales (34%).

Interesting, I wonder what that ratio is for XB1

Have to figure it's like 60%.

And that hype seems to make some people turn off their heads a little.

Toidiedud comments on Persona 5 is doing quite well on Amazon so far

Also the game hasn't gotten a point at Comg in like 5 days, which bums me out.
