I thought it was second Thursday after first Tuesday, which would mean NPD is the 10th, the earliest it can possibly be.

FAR CRY CROWNED KING

Ubisoft take their first No1 crown of the year as 'Far Cry Primal' breaks Activision Blizzard's hold on top spot.

It's a new look and a new launch window for the Far Cry series with Primal being the first to launch outside of Q4 since the original PC version in 2004. There's also a second Top 3 debutant this week in the form of EA's 'Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2' at No2. Sales for the series are up 31%, although the first in the series (2014) was a timed exclusive for both Xbox One and Xbox 360 at launch. 'Fifa 16' (-38%) remains at No3 for a third week, which means 'Call of Duty: Black Ops III' (-51%) slips down to No4.
Familiar faces jostle for position in the Top 10 with last week's debutant 'Street Fighter V' (-78%) the most notable mover down from No2 to No10. Outside the Top 10 3DS exclusive 'Bravely Second: End Layer' makes its mark at No12.

What they are saying is that PS4 + Xbox One sold in Jan + Feb about 5m and I don't think they will ship combined that on the quarter that ends in March.

So they are rounding up like 58m.

Xbox One is down yoy in US... PS4 is up yoy in US... that tells you a lot about.

The numbers don't really add up. He said 55m two months ago and there's no way they sold 5m in two months. The max they will have sold is 3m combined. These are obviously just pretty rough numbers.

At this beginning of this year, EA said that PS4 + XB1 were over 55 million. Now, EA says that they are around 60 million. For the former, we know for sure that the combined userbase was at least 55 million because of EA's indication of it being over that amount. For the latter, we have no idea because we don't know what is EA's margin for "around".

With close to 36 million units sold worldwide, the PS4 is the global sales leader. If Jorgensen's 60 million estimation is correct, that means PS4 accounts for a much larger chunk than Xbox One.

Yeah I agree with you, I think this is rounded up.

Maybe the 55, was like 55.7 and the 60 is like 59, or something.  Or maybe he's just rounding to like every 5 million.
