Dr. Pezus

I recently got an email from amazon advertising the price drop. I think we'll see several SKUs in the top 20 at least

Legend

Quote from: Raven on Oct 09, 2015, 01:33 PMBattlefront LE bundle now up to 14th. Uncharted bundle now in the 60s.

PS4 has 4 SKUs in the top 40 right now.
Make that 5.

Uncharted bundle: 38 136 144 $350
TLOU bundle: 25 25 26 $350 $400
SW standard: 157 459 415 $350
SW limited: 13 53 66 $400
Destiny: 23 $440 19 (12 in stock) 18 (one left in stock) $420
COD: 38 69 64 $430
non bundle: 90 90 80 $400

madden+nba2k: 669 1,205 986 $400
fifa: 172 177 182 $400
fallout: 159 151 168 $400

kinect bundle: 2,290 3,122 4,250 $500
lego: 1,010 773 867 $350

Another update

Uncharted bundle: 34 (-4)
TLOU bundle: 24 (-1)
SW standard: 136 (-21)
SW limited: 11 (-2)
Destiny: 23 (0)
COD: 38 (0)

uncharted 2 controller: 63,516 ()

madden+nba2k: 680 (+11)

fallout: 169 (+10)
gears: 83 (0) out of stock
halo le: 35 (0)
holiday bundle: 778 (+34)
kinect bundle: 2,433 (+143)
lego: 1,062 (+52)

PS4 is dominating and I'd be shocked if it loses October on Amazon. TLOU>Uncharted>Destiny>Halo>Gears>PS4>fifa>madden>holliday>lego>TLOU 2>kinect. Halo bundle preorders are not enough to balance out the PS4's lead, so come October 28th XBOX will most likely still have significant catch up work to do.

What I'm really focusing on is sales of Battlefront and Black Ops 3 bundles. Those don't get counted until November. Which means PS4 likely already has a considerable lead going into next month.

Star Wars and COD are doing huge with pre-orders, but November is such a huge month. Third and fourth weeks will do bigger numbers than when the games launch probably.

It is, but Microsoft doesn't seem to have a bundle attractive enough to pull a repeat of last year and Sony isn't standing around this time. If I remember correctly, it was said that PS4 sales shot up at the end of the month thanks to that GTA/TLOU bundle. They might have actually taken November if they had that bundle available much earlier and December had they managed to not run out of stock repeatedly. Fallout 4 is a huge title this year but I question its ability to outpace Battlefront or Black Ops 3, which Sony is marketing, and there is no way it's going to beat both. I have a feeling that Halo 5 is not going to do as well as previous Halo games.

Battlefront also has the potential to have greater longevity than Fallout 4 because of Episode VII. I'd be surprised if Battlefront is not advertised alongside Episode VII before and after the movie is out in theaters. And COD is COD.

How Fallout 4 will do on the PS4 vs the XBO is something to keep an eye on. The XBO does have the advantage since consumers can buy a bundle with Fallout 4 + BC Fallout 3. However, a substantial portion of the WRPG fanbase has gone from the 360 to the PS4, as we have seen with The Witcher 3 sales. On the other hand, unlike The Witcher 3, Fallout 4 is also an FPS, a genre that is still strong among the XBO userbase.

I agree with pretty much everything.

Speaking of bundles, Microsoft NEEDS a price cut.

Madden bundle is $400, Fifa bundle is $400, Tomb Raider bundle is $400, and Fallout Bundle is $400.

Meanwhile Sony has Battlefront bundle at $350 and Uncharted bundle at $350. PS4 beat XBOX when it was $50 more expensive, and yet now it's $50 cheaper. I really hope Kerotan was right about Microsoft artificially increasing the bundle prices so they could do a drop, because as is they'll get slaughtered.

Kinect bundle shooting up the charts. Watch out sony

Just actually looked at VGC numbers and something made me roll my eyes... Like usual. 360 japan numbers. They have at 7... You know dang well they aren't tracking 7 360s across japan. It's a completely made up number. But according to them they are a legitimate tracking source.

Until Dawn developer: sales “surpassed expectations,” sequel is being talked about - NeoGAF

QuoteIn an excerpt from an upcoming interview with executive producer Pete Samuels...
QuotePlayStation LifeStyle: How is Until Dawn doing sales wise? Is it performing as expected? Better? We saw it do well in sales data, which a lot of people were surprised with. It’s definitely surpassed expectations. I think that’s already been stated in other interviews, and reports of significant retail outlets running out of stock during the first weeks after release kind of supports that.
As for what’s next from Supermassive Games, they’re already working on something that builds on what they did with Until Dawn:PSLS: What should we expect from Supermassive next? Any new games in the same genre or completely different/new projects? Is Until Dawn 2 being considered at all or is it too early?I think that you should expect the team to build on what we’ve done with Until Dawn, whether it’s in horror or in other genres. We’re already working on one thing that does that, whilst exploring other avenues for our other teams in anticipation of them finishing their current projects. We do talk internally about what Until Dawn 2 could be, as it clearly can’t be a sequel in the traditional sense, with the same characters facing the same threat, not least of which because in different stories some or all of them are already dead! We’ve investigated other ways we could do Until Dawn 2 but it probably is a little early to be discussing that.

If this is old then it hasn't Dawned on me yet, so lock it up like an unfortunate scream queen.

Also Halo 5 is finally starting to act like a Halo game! Yay!!! Bundle is slightly dropping though. Kinda makes sense. Casual players are starting to preorder while hardcore fanboys with $500 are drying up.

PS4 putting in an absolute god tier performance at the moment.

46k is not bad for PS4 but O expected more.

Let's see if it can hold at least over 20k in next weeks.

BTW NPD was delayed to Monday 19th.
