I hope Sony mass bundles The Order "for free"
I want it to reach 3M in 2015 ><

dont think they will. The Order 1886 has potential to be a good seller, i would think they would rather profit from it. they already are bundling the hell out of Driveclub and LBP3.

Looking good for PS4 on amazon UK and US, XB1 doing well also. Its annoying that you can't track GAME's sales, because they're getting by far the highest % of console sales in the UK

i think they will probably raise it back to 400 and keep the AC bunbdle the main bundle (like the titanfall bundle). until maybe evolve comes out and they give it for free. i suspect all year next year they will have a free game bundled with every console.

Which is honestly the only way that the X1 has managed to stay competitive in the US and UK. Giving away things for free. We've already seen what happens when these two consoles are priced the same with no incentive. Hell, even when giving away one free game at the same price as a PS4 it was still losing. Once these deals are over and we move into the first half of next year, which looks pretty barren for X1 exclusives, I don't know how the X1 will even manage without maintaining the $350 price. The big question is, "What if Sony drops the PS4 price at E3?".

Weren't you the one arguing with me earlier in the year that GAME isn't that big of a deal?

Yeah I was, it isn't a big deal for software but it seems they sell a huge % of hardware. During the year I'd say isn't too much of a big deal, it has a huge reputation for being over priced but in the run up to Christmas most look to GAME for their consoles. Just check the PS4 bundles they have and you can see why. Amazon's best deal for PS4 is probably fifa 15+minecraft bundle for £350. Add £50 to that at GAME and you also get 2 blue rays, TLOU, LBP3 and Driveclub. For £350 you can also get PS4 GTAV bundle with COD, TLOU and Driveclub

Hahaha I love you.

The PS4 GTA/TLOU bundle for $470 is in 98th place for hourly sales.

yeah its what i see happening. AC bundle until evolve comes out, maybe a Halo MCC bundle. then an evolve bundle, then a witcher bundle, and so on. sony will certainly drop the price next year. the question is by how much? i suspect they will drop it around end of August, start building up momentum for the holidays.

Bundling it doesn't necessarily mean they won't profit from it
Consider for instance that it does reach 3M and 1M were from bundles. That's still 2M copies raking in cash
The purpose of the bundles would be to increase awareness/exposure of a new IP. Sony made it clear in 2013 they wanted this to be their next big IP. They're still gonna do the main marketing in the upcoming 2 months after xmas has passed but some copies for new adopters would also help

I also hope the upcoming marketing campaign does a better job than the half assed attempts we had in most of 2014.
The two worse examples were
a) announcement of a livestream that drew in huge amounts of hyped people, only to show nothing but a pre-recorded 2 min clip that could have been uploated to YT instead of making people think we were gonna get a "comprehensive" live look into the game
b) letting us know there was gonna be new footage at VGA but only showed bits of cutscenes and left the gameplay for PSX (both it and Until Dawn had poor VGA showings compared to PSX)

Sony's mistakes, not RAD's. RAD didn't even know about a) until after the fact and i doubt they had any control over b) either.

To this day the best showing is still the Gamescom trailer, which, despite being good, was also misshandled by being shown pre-conference when a lot of people missed it and not being publicized after the show. Most of the people i've talked to didn't even know the trailer existed before i linked it (btw: http://www.gamersyde.com/download_the_order_1886_gamescom_trailer-32714_en.html )
If SCEE team put together the trailer, makes me think they might be better at marketing than SCEA. Shame that SCEA pretty much gets the main role though.

Anyway, RAD has said there'll be new reveals between now and launch so hopefully it gets further positive buzz. PSX achieved that but still with some hate. Irrational one at that, considering the criticism... you know what, I better not get into that. I don't want to end up bashing certain games, and this is a thread about Amazon anyway.

Love you too bebs!

I think The Order should be bundled for free. The Order and Bloodborne bundles for $399 would give PS4 an amazingly strong start to the year. It'd also increase the number of people who pick up and play the new IPs, making the sequels more likely to sell better

i think it would be good for the IP, and it would certainly move consoles then. but i think Sony would rather profit more than expand the IP. after all if they want to expand the IP in the future all they need to do is put it for free on PS+.

i agree, this year sony's marketing was very very bad for the order. surprising considering how good their marketing was for TLoU which was also a new IP and a project on the similar scale and targeting almost the same audience. their PSX showing was the best so far, i agree.

I think the difference is that Sony is simply doesn't try to control ND and as such ND has more input in that stuff than other developers. Certainly feels that way.

Sony ended it's 2014 deals

Amazon UK bundles no longer come with any game
Amazon US only sells regular SKU with only one free game (instead of 2 like it was on xmas)

Amazon US has been like that for awhile now. For about a week or so.
