So launch aligned, the PS4 is ahead of the PS3 by a bit over 152K units. The PS3 still has the rest of 2008 to go. Here are its next 6 weeks:

Week of 11/24 - 34,978
Week of 12/01 - 30,300
Week of 12/08 - 33,688
Week of 12/15 - 39,100
Week of 12/22 - 45,989
Week of 12/29 - 60,654

Assuming the PS4 sells 27K on average for the next 6 weeks, the gap will close by ~80K, but it will still be ahead by ~70K.

This is Japan yeah? PS4 is doing very well. It should manage to sell at a stable 20k+ this year considering it has quite a few upcoming releases and a steady stream of games. FFXV, DQ11 and others should help push it up further.

I don't think it will manage to stay ahead of PS3 though, especially with NX coming.

So Twilight Princess HD somehow did 23k more than wind waker hd in Japan first week. Splatoon is also still selling over 10k per week.
Honestly the baseline for Wii u game releases has grown from the 30k to the 50k. Looking at Mario Tennis and TPHD. Pokken should continuse the trend and star fox hopefully can too but I doubt it lol.

Eh, that's really not a great argument. This rush for just opened pre-order obviously exists, but in the big picture it doesn't say much. It would be much more telling if the first wave of pre-orders didn't sell out, cause then you might have a real problem from the get go.

It is the the exact number now for retail... it is like 277,xxx and MCV said over 277k.

Before they share the number we know it was between 254k and 332k.
