Well the halo bundle shot up 11 places in the hourly yesterday and stuck around there for the past 24 hours... yet it didn't gain any places on the monthly. Meanwhile the uncharted bundle starts slipping away on the hourly and gains 9 monthly places. The TLOU bundle was stuck in the same place on the monthly chart for a while, then it drops loads on the hourly yet makes its biggest gain on the monthly.

I'm not saying it means anything, just some observations.

I just don't see how hourly can be used as a barometer for monthly. If something is on the charts at 100 in the hours but consistently selling 1 unit but something at 101 was only selling 1 unit a day then after 17 days the worse one sells 100 in one hour then that won't be enough to over take the better one for the month

As for Uncharted scenario, we'll that makes sense too. Something early in the month sold 100 units but stopped selling now. Uncharted sold 90 units in a day but the next day only sold 11... It slipped in the daily but jumped the monthly

Yeah I know it works fine I was just making a simple observation :)

You need to think about how often we've seen items that were out of stock sitting in the same place on the hourly for quite awhile before they dropped out instead of vanishing the very next hour. The hourly is weird. I have no idea what the actual measurement is. Also, monthly sales are not always recent. Sometimes it can be up to a week behind.

Speaking of Amazon, do you wanna know what will really bomb?

Assassin's Creed Syndicate.

Top position on hourly is #50 and it releases in 6 days. It isn't even in the top 100 for monthly.

Yeah I know, its crazy. Unity really did serious damage to the franchise. There's gonna be a huge slide in sales with this one

Hopefully this will cause them to make Black Flag 2.

Seriously, it just floors my mind that they rejuvenated the franchise with Black Flag(had great critical reception, great player reception, and great sales) yet only delegated its formula to a rushed last gen spin off. Instead we have Unity and Syndicate which are poor man GTA clones. Modern cities suck for AC settings.

If Syndicate doesn't work out I think Assassin's Creed is pretty much finished. I'm sure they'll do one or two more to finish the overall story but they'll probably move on to a different annual franchise. Looks like Far Cry may be that game already.

they need to give the franchise a 5 year rest.

also, amazon sucks with software. people thought evolve and battlefield hardline flopped. they did great. AC is going to sell millions this holiday.

exaggerating much?

AC Unity and AC Rogue sold 10 million combined by the end of 2014. thats just their first quarter. what did rogue sell. like 2 million? 3 million tops? that leaves 7 for Unity. the franchise is FAR from done.

ACS will sell millions of course, but certainly nothing close to what past games have done.

i keep hearing that every year. even if it sells 7 million or so. thats still huge and very profitable for Ubisoft. to them thats no reason to drop the franchise. they would just think they need to make a more appealing game.

I doubt they'd drop the franchise either.

Chill, dude. It's a gut feeling. I didn't claim it to be a science I sat down and poured over. You can also thank Black Flag for Unity's sales that early.
